Barca have failed to re-register their summer signings for the second half of the season as they battle with the league's wage restrictions, despite continuing to make their case to the authorities at the beginning of this month.

They signed Olmo in August for around €55million and Victor in July but only registered them for the first half of the season due to LaLiga wage cap considerations.

Olmo, who helped Spain to European Championship glory last year, has been an integral part of Barcelona's team this season, while forward Victor has been largely restricted to substitute appearances.

Though it was agreed that the club could increase their Staff Cost Limit, the money they can spend, the sticking point is now that the case of Olmo and Victor needed to have been dealt with by 31 December 2024.

The Monitoring Committee of the RFEF-LaLiga Coordination Agreement said: "The Monitoring Committee agrees not to grant the visa or definitive license requested by FC Barcelona for the players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in accordance with the articles that prevent a player whose license is cancelled during the course of the same season obtaining a license in the same club to which he was already linked."

Two courts had previously rejected the club's requests.

"It wasn't easy. I didn’t get to play for the national side for close to nine months," Sharmila was quoted as saying in a Hockey India (HI) release.

During the tour, India secured a 2-2 (4-2 SO) win against Belgium in their first game but lost 2-3 in the second match against the same opponent. They faced a narrow 5-4 defeat against Bredase Hockey Vereniging.

The latest ruling means that neither player will be available for Saturday's Copa del Rey tie against Barbastro.

Spanish media reports Barca plan to file a complaint to the Spanish government in a last-ditch attempt to allow the pair to play. There was no immediate comment from Barcelona. ye7
